Studying Your A Level:

This course meets the requirements for both A Level and International A Level in Biology. When booking your exam, you can choose the version that best suits your needs.


The A/iA Level Biology course offers an opportunity to expand your biological knowledge significantly. You'll revisit key topics from GCSE, while also delving into more advanced material.


Throughout your studies, you'll explore the basic components of living systems, biological molecules, biodiversity, homeostasis, and much more. You will also study ecosystems, human society’s impact, and the changing world.

There are no specific entry requirements, though having a GCSE or IGCSE in this subject would be advantageous. To qualify for the exams, you must complete at least 50% of the course and pass the related assignments.

ExamsThe exam process will be managed by one of our exam partners, who will provide the exam centre. If you choose to sit the exams at a centre that is not part of our partner network, an additional exam centre finder fee will apply.

Certification TimelineOnce you receive your results, your certificate will be issued within 3 months.

Extension PolicyThe course may be extended once, for a maximum of 12 months.

Course FeesAll course fees, including payment plans like the Premium Credit Limited option, must be fully paid before you can book your exams.

You will have access to the course for a period of 24 months.

Assessment

At the end of each unit, you will complete a Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA). This assignment is submitted online to your tutor for evaluation. After assessment, your tutor will return your work with the final grade and feedback. Once you've passed all assignments, you'll be ready to sit for the exam!

Qualifications

If you choose to sit for the exams at the end of the course and successfully pass, you will earn either an A Level or an iA Level in Physics. This qualification will open the door for you to advance to further and higher education opportunities.
