Anchor 1

Secure English Language Tests

Preparation for Trinity GESE Grade 2 (A1) (for Spouse/Partner visas) or GESE Grade 3 (A2) extension
Further Leave to Remain:

Family life as a partner of a settled person — FLR (M) (Spouse/Partner) │ Family life as a parent — FLR (FP) (Parent of a dependant)

Classes are 2 days per week

2 hours each session for 2 weeks.

£180 for the preparation classes.

Preparation for Trinity GESE Grade 5 (B1)

For Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle) or British Citizenship you must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level B1 in Speaking and Listening.

Classes are 2 days per week

2 hours each session for 4 weeks.

£250 for the preparation classes.

Preparation for ISE: Integrated Skills in English I (B1) SELT

English language tests for private hire drivers

Transport for London (TfL) announced in 2016 that all new applicants, and existing private hire drivers applying to renew their licence for the first time since the introduction of this new requirement, must now meet the equivalent of a B1 English language requirement.

Classes are 2 days per week

2 hours each session for 6 weeks.

£350 for the preparation classes.

  • Provisional results on the same day

  • Certificate within 7 days

  • Speaking & Listening only

GESE Grade 5

  • 10 minute speaking and listening test

  • Provisional results on the same day

  • Speaking & Listening only

ISE: Integrated Skills in English I (B1) SELT

  • Test of 4 skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening

  • Can be taken in 1 day

  • Certificate usually received within 15 working days 

Life in the UK

Anchor 3

Workshop with the essential handbook covers the range of topics you need to know to pass your test and apply for UK citizenship or permanent residency, including:

  • The process of becoming a citizen or permanent resident

  • The values and principles of the UK

  • Traditions and culture from around the UK

  • The events and people that have shaped the UK's history

  • The government and the law

  • Getting involved in your community

Classes are 2 sessions per week

2 hours each session for 4 weeks.

£250.
